The month of July is coming to a close and that is exciting for me because school and college football are almost here. It may seem strange that I'm excited about school starting, but I can't help but be pumped because this is my last year. I graduated high school in 2002 and really should be done with school, but a school transfer, a marriage, and two children made me take the long road. I don't regret a bit of it, but to tell you the truth I am completely ready to be done.
As I said before, college football is about to begin as well. The Missouri Tigers strap on the pads on August 4th to begin what could be another special year in Mizzou football. They once again are favored to win the BIG 12 North and have 8 players on the preseason all-conferance team. Looking at the schedule it is not a stretch to say this team could win out and play in another Big 12 championship game. Obviously the preseason awards really don't mean much if you don't execute on the field. I feel confidenc that Mizzou can top what they did last year and finally go to a BCS bowl game.
Hopefully this time next year I will be blogging about getting ready to start another school year, but this time as a teacher, and talking about whether or not Mizzou can defend their national title. I guess we will wait and see!
